Watch Order

About Watch Order

Watch Order is a free web app to follow movie and TV franchises in the order you like: by release date, chronological, curated or your own.

What it does

Every franchise in the catalog has several watch orders, routes by character or theme, and “Get ready for…” routes with the minimum to watch before a release. Each title says whether it is essential, recommended or optional, and the app keeps what you have watched, shows what is next, plans marathons and alerts you about releases.

It runs in the browser and installs as an app (PWA) on your phone or computer, offline too. It is available in Spanish and English.

Who makes it

Watch Order is a personal project by wxlter, an independent developer (wxlter.dev). There is no company behind it: the catalog, orders and texts are curated by hand and checked against official sources when they exist.

Where the data comes from

Title details (dates, runtimes, posters and overviews) come from TMDB, and “where to watch” uses JustWatch data via TMDB. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. The orders, routes, importance of each title and recaps are original.

How it is funded

The app is free, with no paid plans or locked features. It is supported by voluntary donations and, if turned on, by ads that only appear if you accept them in the consent notice. Without an account your progress stays on your device; with a Google account it syncs across devices. The details are in the privacy policy.

For integrations

The catalog is also available as a public, read-only API with no key and an OpenAPI specification. See the developer page.
